SamanthaTM - Complex Change Rules

Complex Change Rules makes your change notifications and verifications fully automatic!

End-users and business leaders get extremely frustrated when changes are made to their IT systems without notice. The change can go quite well, but if notifications aren't given properly, no amount of apologies can make-up. With end-users, they seem to want everything right.

SamanthaTM makes notification easy. Notification rules are applied to the applications or systems that people use. Our application and hierarchical dependency definitions ensure that changes of underlying infrastructures are treated the same as changes to the applications or services themselves.

To meet SOX and internal controls, set up rules for business owners to be automatically notified or to seek approval if changes to their systems are planned. These rules would include the database, application elements, servers and any other elements that make-up that application suite. Changes remain in Pending status until approved by the Business Owner. If the Change Manager overrides this approval, the change is flagged as being "out of process" and logged. Multiple Business Owners can approve the change In Order, All of Them, or Only One.

After the change is complete, Complex Change Rules can require people verify the change was properly performed. Verification can be by multiple people, In Order, All of Them, or Only One.

To ensure changes are properly performed, Complex Change Rules attach Recovery, Implementation, and Test Plans based on system configurations. Set-up special plans for all infrastructure servers and different plans for application servers. Provide guidance on changes to all Windows servers, and attach different plans for UNIX servers. Your options to improve the change process are limitless.

Keep in mind, complex change notifications are in addition to standard SamanthaTM message rules , providing notifications if changes are proposed, approved, scheduled, completed, closed, overdue, or rated.
